Alcohol
Alcoholic beverages are not
allowed to be brought on to the Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway or Ober Gatlinburg
premises. Beer is available for consumption in Ober’s Snackbar and alcoholic
beverages are available in the Ober Gatlinburg Restaurant and Lounge. If you
have consumed any substance that might impair you we suggest that you do not
participate in Ober Gatlinburg activities.
Ober Gatlinburg reserves the
right to refuse participation in its activities to anyone that’s considered
a danger to themselves or others.
ATM
ATM machines are located in the
Downtown Tramway Mall next to the River Road entrance, and in the Ober
Gatlinburg Mall near the hallway entrance to the Ober’s Snackbar (ATM 1) and
to the left side of the Fudge Shop (ATM 2).

Discount Information
AAA – Ober Gatlinburg Aerial
Tramway offers a $1.00 discount off the purchase of a roundtrip Aerial Tram
ticket for the cardholder and immediate family members (maximum six).
AARP – Ober Gatlinburg offers a
$1.00 discount off the purchase of a roundtrip Aerial Tram ticket for the
cardholder and spouse.
Groups – Group rates are
available for groups of 20 or more when reservations are made at least 15
days in advance. Please contact our Group Reservations Department at

Military – During times of war,
Ober Gatlinburg offers Active Military members and their dependents a 50%
discount on the purchase of a roundtrip Aerial Tram ticket (Adult Military
Rate - $4.75; Child ages 7 – 11 $3.25), and a 50% discount on the purchase
of a Ski Area Lift Ticket and Ski Rental.

First Aid
Ober Gatlinburg staffs the
Operations Office with medical personal during operating hours. The
Operations Office is located at the end of the walkway near the Alpine
Slide/Scenic Chairlift entrance.
Additionally, in the winter
months, the Ober Gatlinburg Ski Patrol is available during all slope hours.
The Ski Patrol consists of approximately 60 paid and unpaid volunteers all
trained in Outdoor Emergency Care – a certification course in first aid,
CPR, and other pre-hospital care and treatment for
possible injuries - and are part of a larger international
organization, the National Ski Patrol System (NSPS) which includes almost
30,000 patrollers.
Guest Services
The Guest Services Office is
located next to the entrance to the Municipal Black Bear Habitat. Please
feel free to stop by to ask questions, get your season pass made, and/or to
offer your comments. Our staff is here to serve our guests and to see to
your safety and enjoyment while visiting our facilities.
Height/Safety Requirements
Alpine Slide – Ages 6 and under
must ride with an adult; Bungee Run & Spider Web – Maximum Weight 190 Lbs.;
Go-Karts – Children must be at least 12 years old and 54” to ride by
themselves, Children ages 4 – 11 must ride with an adult; Pirate Ship -
Must be at least 8 years old and 50” to ride by themselves, Children ages 5
– 7 must ride with an adult; Water Raft Rides – Maximum Weight 400 Lbs.
Many activities at Ober
Gatlinburg are “high activity”. These activities involve inherent risk that
may be increased by some conditions. If you have any conditions that hinder
your skill level or physical ability we advise that you do not participate.

Lockers
Spring
through Fall lockers are available in the Ice Rink, next to the
activity-side entrance to the Ober Gatlinburg Mall, and by the Operations
Office next to the Alpine Slide/Scenic Chairlift Entrance. Locker fee is
$1.00 for each use.
In the winter,
lockers are available in those same locations plus in a dedicated Locker
Room located in the Ober Gatlinburg Mall next to Swiss Outdoors Shop.
Overnight Ski and Snowboard lock-ups are available for a charge of $3.00
(cash only) in the building next to the Snow Sports School. While enjoying
the slopes, Ober Gatlinburg offers a complimentary courtesy booth in this
same location for your personal skis or snowboard and for Ober Gatlinburg
Snowboard rentals.
Lost & Found
If you lose something while at
Ober Gatlinburg please stop by the Guest Services Office located next to the
entrance to the Bear Habitat. If you lose something in the Aerial Tramway
Mall, please check with at the Tram Supervisor’s Desk, located near the
entrance to the Tramway. After 48 hours all found items are given to the
Marketing Administrative Assistant for safe-keeping. Please contact that
office at 865-436-5423 ext. 104.
For a lost parent or child
please inform the first Ober Gatlinburg or shop employee you encounter. As
our facilities are small and self-contained, we will do our utmost to see
that you are united with your missing family member in an expedient manner.

Payment Methods
Credit Cards – Visa & MasterCard
Checks accepted for attraction
coupons, wristbands, shops, skiing and snowboarding when presented with a
valid driver’s license. Name and address must be pre-printed on check and
must be the same as the name and address on the driver’s license.
Pet Policy
Pets are not permitted in the
Tramway Mall or at Ober Gatlinburg. Service animals for guests with
disabilities are permitted.
Smoking Policy
In accordance with Tennessee
State Law smoking is not permitted in enclosed public spaces. Smoking is
still permitted in outdoor areas.
Strollers
A
limited number of single and double strollers are available for rent on a
first-come, first served basis and require a $10 deposit. Single strollers
are $4.00 per day, and double strollers are $6.00 per day.
Ski & Snowboard Courtesy Booth
Ober Gatlinburg offers
complimentary temporary lock-ups of personal ski and snowboard equipment and
Ober Gatlinburg snowboard rentals during your ski or snowboard session. The
Courtesy Booth is located on the walkway to the Snow Sports School
Building. Overnight lock-ups are available for a fee of $3.00 (cash only).

Tram – Next Day Free!
From Spring through Fall Ober
Gatlinburg offers complimentary return trips on the Aerial Tramway for the
day of purchase and/or the following day. As you go through the turnstile
the attendant will take your ticket and stamp your hand with a non-toxic
fluid which can be viewed under a black light. If you visit us during the
daylight hours please return at night to view the magnificent lights of
Gatlinburg and the numerous chalets, regardless of the season you’re sure to
enjoy the view. And if you’ve ever ridden during a heavy fog – definitely
an eerie “Twilight Zone” experience – you’ll be amazed at what you can see
when the skies are clear.
Water Fountains
Water fountains are available next to the
restrooms at the Downtown Tramway Mall, in the Ice Rink, next to the
Sidewalk Café and outside at Ober’s Snackbar.
